I used to spend my life trying to fit into a perfect little box that I allowed others to build for me, and it wasn’t until a major life changing moment that I found I was ready to break out of it…
And I did.
I am now a writer, healer, speaker, coach, happiness guru and professional player.
And I am here to remind you how to play, laugh, and dream again.
After years of different experiences both good and bad, I still have a rosy outlook and believe I can be whatever I want each and every day.
And so can you!
Remember when you were a kid, and you believed in magic and fairies, and dreams came true?
My mission is to help get you out of your box and into the field of unlimited possibility and playtime again where anything is possible.
Creating this playful space and becoming the person I am today has always been a dream of mine, and I am honored and grateful to be able to share my wisdom and experiences with you.
Together, we will reignite the child within you because if you’re not having fun and playing ~ you’re missing out on the best part of life.
So join me! Play with me! And let’s tear down those walls for good!
1 My favorite movie at 6 years old was Sweeney Todd, and my favorite musical in 4th grade was Les Miserables followed by Miss Saigon. I was into drama long before I even knew what drama was!
2 I used to build shrines of my favorite collections and photograph them (see above Les Miserables, The Little Mermaid, and my glass Disney figurines). I also collected crystals.
3 I had the poster of Patrick Swayze from Dirty Dancing in my bedroom in 2nd grade, and I performed the movie dance numbers live for my class.
4 I used to write letters to GOD as a child when I needed help or guidance (or I lost something I loved) I still basically do when I write my morning pages every day.
5 When I was almost 2 years old I had an accident where I cut off the tip of my middle finger on my left hand and it is known as “short finger”. It’s sad and cute at the same time, and something I used to hide from friends.
6 My dog Archimedes is named after the “highly educated owl” in the Disney movie The Sword and The Stone.
7 My idol has been Bette Midler since I saw her in Beaches in 3rd grade.
8 I am a classic Sagittarius- fire sign- and am often described as “bright”, “bold”, “bubbly” and was recently deemed “the queen of too muchness” which is actually a compliment (see Bette Midler above.)
9 I have voiced multiple cartoons and children’s toys, and love doing animation. I am also the voice of several brands nationally and work as a voice over artist professionally.
10 I spent several years working in the liquor industry and worked as a Scotch Ambassador (which helped lead me to my awakening- drinking too much whisky will do that.)
11 I love nature, and in the summer if you can’t find me I’m probably on the beach or a boat.
12 My life-changing event involved being hit by a yellow cab in NYC right before my 30th Birthday when my then lame boyfriend stood me up. It is what led me to seek the higher help and guidance that ended my patterns of self-sabotage forever.
13 My favorite quote about color comes from RuPaul “I believe in using every color in the crayon box”.
14 My training consists of a BFA from Ithaca College where I studied acting, voice & movement, Alexander, singing, dance and many years studying with renowned psychotherapist, healer and philanthropist Derek O’Neill. I am certified in Reiki, NLP and Rising Star and am now a Rising Star teacher~which is a tremendous honor! I created Playful Transformation as a synthesis of all my studies. I believe I have found a powerful way to create lasting positive change by combining a whole lot of awesomeness into one. *If you’re interested in learning more about my services as a healer and Rising Star practitioner or teacher, Contact me HERE!
15 My logo consists of the sacred symbol the Prema Agni, which means the fire of divine love. To read more about it click here www.sq-wellness.com. I also always wear it around my neck. If you dig it ask me how you can get one too!
16 I suffered from body issues and eating disorders much of my young adult life, and made up a few diets I don’t suggest: like the 0 gram of fat diet which was mostly candy corn and ephedrine. One day when I was running I literally turned blue from lack of oxygen and believe my friend Stacy saved my life by making me use her inhaler.
17 As a result, fitness and wellness are passions of mine, and I believe in loving your body as you are and taking care of yourself. I trained physically and know how to use Kettle bells and barbells, how to kick box, and have run a few races. I have also studied yoga and Pilates and am very interested in the mind body connection.
18 I’ve been robbed 4 times, my cars have been busted up twice, and I am a big BIG believer in Karma and the law of attraction. I have a theory as to why these things kept happening to me and you can read about it in my book! (see below.)
19 My book Miracles for a Sick Bitch is also in development for a stage show and a TV series based on the funny happenings of my life. My motto is “the things we believe are our greatest downfalls are actually our best assets”, and it’s all about learning to love ourselves as we are rather than trying to be someone else.
20 I am intuitive, an empath, and a bundle of positive energy. I have been told I brighten a whole room just by being there- and no I’m not joking! To see what others have to say about me CLICK HERE.
21 I love people. I love making new friends. I love to help others. And I want to be your friend! I also love exclamation points- a LOT!! And I totally talk with my hands (that’s why people used to call me “helium hands”!)
